Responsibility
KOPYTO is a symbol — the footprint each of us leaves behind and for which we take full responsibility by creating an ethical brand.
Did you know that fashion is the world’s largest source of microplastics in the oceans?
Clothing accounts for a huge share of global waste, and most garments contain plastics derived from crude oil, such as polyester and acrylic. Every year, 80 billion new items of clothing are purchased worldwide, while their lifespan continues to decrease.
That is why we decided to become part of the change. We believe that fashion can be sustainable and responsible, and that our everyday choices can be ethical.
We take full responsibility for the natural materials we use.
We plan our production carefully to minimise waste and overproduction wherever possible. We design versatile, high-quality products that are made to last.
We apply the less-waste philosophy both during production — by optimising patterns and collecting leftover materials so that nothing is wasted — and during packaging. We always pack your order in recycled paper packaging. Whenever possible, we also reuse the cardboard boxes that reach us. We aim to limit all packaging materials to the essential minimum while still ensuring that each parcel is properly protected.
We take an innovative and meticulous approach to selecting materials and suppliers, choosing those with a responsible approach to dyeing and production.
We believe in certifications because they provide transparency. That is why we choose RWS-certified wool, which confirms its responsible origin.
The RWS plays an important role in raising awareness around merino wool production. Its detailed guidelines form a set of good practices and standards of conduct for sheep farmers and the entire textile industry. It also provides assurance of responsible production.
We choose to work with people who share our values, and most of the production facilities we cooperate with are powered by renewable energy.
